  • Shape and thickness of your cornea

Itching or burning sensation after surgery is common as well as temporary. It usually subsides within the next day. Temporary discomfort –

  • Flaps that are too small or too thin

  • Buttonholes (small holes or tears in the center of the flap)

  • Free caps or flaps without a hinge

Dry eyes syndrome –

After a LASIK surgery, some people experience a decrease in tear production. This problem can cause eye discomfort and blurry vision. The patient can expect the dry eye syndrome to be temporary. He or she can also use lubricating eye drops to lessen the discomfort.
